Caleb University, Imota, in Lagos, has urged newly admitted students to remain sensitive about their relationship with God if they must push boundaries and confront life challenges.

The vice-chancellor, Prof. Nosa Owens-Ibie, gave the advice while administering the oath of allegiance to the 1,644 freshers for the 2023/2024 academic session at the 17th matriculation ceremony in Lagos.

He noted that the institution is working tirelessly to provide an enabling environment for teaching and learning, aiming to lay a strong foundation and bring out the best in students.

The vice chancellor added that only recently, the National Universities Commission (NUC) approved six new programmes of the institution following the expansion of the level of infrastructure on the ground.

He noted that among the matriculating students were the first set of the institution’s newly accredited programme, Nursing Science.

The programme and others were approved on November 2, 2023.

The vice-chancellor added that students of the institution were generally equipped in the local and international markets in various fields of human endeavour.

According to him, the university is expanding infrastructurally regarding the quality of manpower or human resources.

The vice-chancellor noted that the Edward Murrow College of Communication, Washington State University in the U.S., was collaborating on a project with the institution’s Department of Mass Communication.

He restated the institution’s commitment to exporting capacities and competencies outside the shores of the country.
