Retired Colonel Alleges Threat to Life by Fayose’s Aide

A retired Colonel, Joseph Oluwayose, has written a petition alleging threat to his life by the Special Assistant to Governor Ayodele Fayose on Traffic and
Environment, Mr Afolabi Ariyo.
In the petition to the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, Mr
Etop James, and copied to the State Director of the Department of
Security Services (DSS), National Human Rights Commission and Ekiti
chapter of APC, Oluwayose alleged that on April 11, 2016, around
18:47 hours, Afolabi called him on mobile phone number 08033829346 in
the presence of his wife and allegedly threatened to deal with him.
Oluwayose, a native of Afao Ekiti and former Special Adviser on
Security Matters to Ex-Governor Kayode Fayemi , is also a cousin to
Governor Fayose.
The message of the petition which was conveyed in a message sent by
APC Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, Oluwayose explained in
his petition that his wife heard all the governor’s aide said because
his phone was on speaker.
“It is imperative to make this official report as a Senior Military
Officer who knows the security risk Mr Afolabi has constituted to
members of the opposition parties in Ekiti State,” he said.
