We’ll Make Ilorin Teaching Hospital One-Stop Heart Facility – CMD

The Chief Medical Director, University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital, Ilorin, Kwara state, Professor Abdulwaheed Olatinwo, at the weekend declared that the hospital would soon become a one-stop heart facility to cater for patients with heart-related diseases in the country.

This, he said, would stop people with heart conditions from travelling outside the country for medical attention.

Olatinwo said that an ultra-modern cardiac catherization laboratory (Cat Lab) worth several millions of naira would be constructed at the hospital so as to assist it to achieve the goal.

Olatinwo disclosed this in Ilorin  while briefing newsmen at the end of the open heart surgery performed on three Nigerian children at the hospital.
