Two Judges, Auditors Abducted in Kogi

Two Judges and two auditors were on Thursday adopted at gun point in two different locations in the Kogi State.
According to eye witness account, Justices Ali Okeme and Justice Timothy Ali, were said to have been abducted at Ojuocha in Ofu Local Government Area of the state on their way to Idah while the two auditors were also abducted on their way to Idah, by another group of gunmen.
The Kogi State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Willy Aya, when contacted confirmed the incident but said the police were working round the clock to track down the abductors.
Meanwhile, the insecurity in Kogi State has become alarming as the state is now under the siege of kidnappers.
Investigations conducted revealed that residents in the state are now living in morbid fear even as motorists passing through the state are also pepertually afraid of abduction and armed robbery attack.
Only on wednesday afternoon, about 4.00 pm, a female motorist in a Toyota Camry car was said to be flagged down and abducted at Karaworo area of the state, a few meter from the state police headquarter, Lokoja.
The victim who was said to have shouted for help repeatedly before she was whisked away, was said to be in the company of her family members in the vehicle during the abduction.
The vehicle was said to be coming from the Eastern part of the country and was heading to Abuja before the unfortunate incident.
Investigations revealed that Kabba-Obajana- Lokoja highway, Abuja-Okene-Lokoja highway and Odolu- Enugu highway are the worst hit.
