Children’s Day: Bauchi First Lady Seeks More Laws to Protect Children aganst Violence

Wife of the Bauchi state Governor, Hajiya Hadiza Abubakar, has emphasized the need for both the National and State Assemblies  to enact more laws to protect children and take all necessary steps to bring to an end the rising cases of violence against the very young in Nigeria.

She said the celebration of  the Day in Nigeria should not only be devoted to the promotion of the welfare of children but should also provide platforms for interaction and understanding among children.

She stressed that this special day called for greater attention to the multiplicity of challenges that children face across the country.
