PDP Assigns Portfolio to Caretaker Committee Members

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has assigned portfolios to the seven-man national caretaker committee.
In a statement issued on Thursday by Head, Publicity Division, Chinwe I. Nnorom, the party said it has approved the portfolios at the
maiden meeting of the caretaker committee with the national secretariat staff and that of the Peoples Democratic Institute (PDI).
Members of the national caretaker committee and their portfolios are, Senator Ahmed Makarfi (Chairman), Senator Chief Ben Obi (Secretary), Prince Dayo Adeyeye (Publicity), Hajiya Aisha Aliyu (Women & Youth), Senator Abdul Ningi (Organization & Mobilization), Senator Odion Ogbesia (Financial, Treasury, & Audit) and Barr. Kabir Usman (Legal).
The national caretaker committee was constituted at the party’s national convention in Port Harcourt, Rivers State on May 21, with only two functionaries, the Chairman, Senator Makarfi and the Secretary of the Committee, Senator Ben Obi respectively; while other members of the committee had no portfolios assigned to them at the national convention.
