The five-day long industrial acton declared by organized labour in Niger State has been suspended with effect from midnight on Friday.
Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, chairman, Comrade Yahaya Idris Ndako, announced the suspension Friday night after a meeting between labour and the government.
Part of the agreement reached before the suspension of the strike was that the money deducted from workers’ salaries would be refunded after a staff audit to be carried out by the NLC.
Government would release some money for the payment of July salaries to grade levels 16 and below workers.
