Delta State All Progressives Congress (APC) leader and 2015 governorship candidate, Olorogun O’tega Emerhor, has urged citizens of the state to take full advantage of the party’s 2016 state membership registration which kicked off on Monday, July 18th across the state.

He particularly urged defectors from other political parties as well as passive supporters of the APC in the state to turn out en masse to register as full members of the party during the two-week exercise.

Emerhor in a statement released by the Director of Strategic Political Communication of Rescue Delta Media Group (RDMG) of Delta APC, Barrister Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, said that “the registration exercise empowers defectors from the Labour Party, Accord, PDP and Social Democratic Party (SDP) to becoming full members of the party”.

The statement also described the registration exercise as “a compulsory step towards active participation in party’s activities and enables them (registered members) exercise their rights and obligations as stakeholders in the ‘Take Over of Delta State Project’ from now into 2019 and beyond.”

Emerhor observed that the people of the state “have been yearning for the registration exercise which the State and NEC of the APC approved recently to admit those who wished to join the ever growing APC family in the state.”

Similarly, APC Board of Trustee Member and Delta Central leader of the party, Chief Frank Ovie Kokori, appealed to the people and particularly those of Delta Central Senatorial district to turn out in large number to register and become bonafide members of the APC.
