Ize-Iyamu Assures Auchi People of Modern Facilities, Adequate Security

  •  Youths Leaders Says PDP Candidate is Football Lover

The Edo State Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has assured the people of Auchi of modern facilities that would go with modern development such as modern schools, hospitals, markets and other infrastructures that befit the town as one of the major towns in the state.

This came as the founder of Esan Youths Organisation (EYO), Comrade Frank Omonbhajimete Patrick, said that the SIMPLE agenda of Pastor Ize-Iyamu would overhaul sporting activities and create employment in the state.

The PDP candidate, who spoke at the Palace of the Otaru of Auchi, Alhaji Aliu Momoh Ikelebe III, when his campaign team berthed in Etsako West Local Government Area, said if elected he would ensure that all major towns, including Auchi, get the right development they deserve.

He explained that the reason behind his widely circulated campaign brochure, the SIMPLE Agenda, is to serve as a guide by which the people of the state would use to assess his government.

According to him, ‘’My Simple Agenda brochures are being circulated widely so that in the years to come, Edo people would be able to look at the brochure and place it with my achievements.’’

He said that politicians could no longer stand on a podium and recite their plans and manifestos without a proper documentation of how they would be assessed.
Ize-Iyamua also praised the vigilante groups set up by the Otaru in Auchi and environs, pointing out that they had been effective in tackling the security challenges in the area

While observing that such efforts ought to have been supported by a responsible and responsive government by providing them with vehicles, communication equipment and payment of allowances, Ize-Iyamu promised that if elected he would pay special attention to security both in urban and rural areas of the state to enhance development.

“I need something Edo people will look at and assess my activities. I need a blueprint to achieve what I want to achieve. We need to create new cities people will be proud of, cities that will become models with schools, markets and hospitals”, he added.

“Government is not doing that now. What we are seeing now is that shanties are growing up instead of cities. The hospital in Auchi has nothing to be proud of despite the position of Auchi in Edo. We need to create hospitals and incentives that will make medical personnel stay in their places.”

In his response, the Otaru of Auchi said the nation was experiencing hard times because of sins that have been committed by Nigerians.
