Nigerian Army Football Team Earns Promotion to Division One

The Nigerian Army Football Team (Green Beret Football Club) on Friday in Ibadan, Oyo state, won the Nation Wide League Division Two.

The Director of Army Public Relations (DAPR), Col. Sani Usman, in a statement on Saturday, said by this feat, the Green Beret FC has gained promotion to the Nation Wide League Division One.

“The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, has congratulated the team for this unprecedented feat,” Usman stated.

To further encourage them, he said, arrangements are on top gear to formally receive and honour the team by the Nigerian Army.

“Congratulations to the Green Beret FC and all the officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army,” he remarked.
