Tee Mac, Dokubo, Monalisa Storm Owerri for 2016 N’Delta Devt Forum

Owerri, the Imo State capital is set to play host to Tee Mac, Hilda Dokubo and Monalisa Chinda as the trio attend the 5th Edition of the Niger Delta Development Forum (NDDF) slated for October 19 and 20.
The 2016 NDDF sponsored by the Foundation for Partnership Initiatives in the Niger Delta (PIND), in collaboration with the Imo State Government and Market Development for the Niger Delta (DAI-MADE) is themed ‘Towards Self-Sustaining Development in the Niger Delta: Narrating and Showcasing a Re-Imagined Niger Delta’.
As Niger Deltans, the trio have contributed immensely to the development of the region and have been instrumental in highlighting the challenges faced by the inhabitants of the region.
Tee Mac, Nigeria’s multi-talented maestro Concert Flutist with cross-cultural Itsekiri and Swiss roots, has for years, been deeply involved in promoting dialogue in the Niger delta. His efforts culminated in his being awarded the Member of the Federal Republic (MFR) national honor by President Umar Musa Yar’Adua in 2009 for his vital role in brokering peace with the Niger Delta militants and fighting for their rehabilitation.
Hilda Dokubo is an award winning Nigerian Actress, a Filmmaker, Activist, Entrepreneur, life coach and Executive Director – Centre for Creative Arts Education (CREATE), a one-stop support centre for women and youths, based in Port Harcourt.
She coordinated the South-south people assembly youth directorate Capacity Building programmes for youth activists and groups to engage in conflict transformation in the Niger Delta from 2005-2006. She was the co-coordinator of the GAG team who set up the only IDP camp for the Gbaramatu displaced women and children (2009), affected by the activities of the joint military task force (JTF) and militants.
She has also coordinated projects on women participation in politics. She was the coordinator of NANW4CSP (2007-2009); a body set up by Action aid conflict and gender rights team. Hilda was ActionAid ambassador and face of ACTIVISTA and HungerFREE. This role led her to staging a hunger free campaign at the U.N general assembly. Hilda is an ambassador of peace and a Paul Harris fellow.
Monalisa Chinda is a household name in the Nigerian movie industry with appearances in over 80 movies. An Ikwerre from Rivers State, she is an acclaimed TV Producer and the host of the popular Talk Show ‘You & I with Monalisa’. She is involved in several advocacy projects and is also a UN Ambassador.
