56 Players for Ikoyi Club Ecobank Tennis Championship
Fifty six players would be competing for honours at the Ekobank Tennis Championship which kicked off at the Ikoyi Club 1998 yesterday.
Speaking at a press briefing to herald the championship at the tennis section of the club, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ecobank, Nigeria, represented by the Zonal Head, Lagos and South West, Chinwe Ekejuba, said its part of the bank’s effort at promoting sports in Nigeria.
“Ecobank is pleased to be in collaboration with the Tennis Section of Ikoyi Club 1938 for the second year running. For us at Ecobank, the visions of our various strategies revolve around being in the forefront of positive associations with organisations,” Ekejuba said.
The Chairman, Tennis Section, Oloye Esan Ogunleye, hailed Ecobank for its continued support in spite of the economic situation in the country.
The championship which will run for three days, consists of eight teams divided into two groups competing in the names of Ecobank products.
