HS Media Group Hold Annual Christmas Carol
HS Media Group, owners of HotSports brand, are set to hold their annual Christmas Carol today. The event has held every Christmas eve since 2010.
The Chief Executive Officer of HS Media Group Mr Taye Ige said in Lagos on Monday that the Service of Nine Lessons and Carol has been themed “Do Not be AfraidFear.” The Special Guest of Honour for the occasion is Justin Zhang General Manager StarTimes.
Ige said, “In a world crippled with uncertainty and fear, Christmas calls us to remember and to commemorate God’s love to humanity. After all, “God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son” so that we can, in Him, find the courage to rise and confront every challenge on our way.”
He also gave an insight into what the company will be doing in the coming year and added that they were set to play immense roles in the reality of the future of television in Nigeria as entrenched in the federal government’s digitisation programme. The firm will, for instance, commence live studio pre, half time and post match analysis of the German Bundesliga, the Italian Serie A, the French League 1 and the European qualifiers for the Russia 2018 World Cup in a major collaboration with the NTA Startimes Group. “The new deal offers Nigerians quality studio commentary and analysis for a total of six matches every weekend commencing January 20 next year when the various Leagues resume from the Christmas break”, Ige affirms. .
Ige said, “For us at HS Media Group, we are sold on this reality and our transition from a one trading platform to a group of companies is well on course and with the imminence of the switch over from analogue to full digital broadcasting in Nigeria; our future is indeed very bright.
“Our new head office and studios complex is slowly but steadily nearing completion. Our target is to get all the studios, including the largest of them measuring 900sqm, on line in time for the DSO slated for June 2017.”
On the 2016 Carol service, Ige assured the company’s clients, staff and friends of a splendid evening as the choir of the All Saints Anglican Church, Ikosi are set to dazzle invited guests. According to him, the Vicar of the Church who is also the archdeacon of Ikosi archdeaconry, The Ven. Adeyemi Agbelusi will, for the sixth time, ministered at the event.
