Cosmas Maduba Buries 121-year Old Father

For a man to live 121 years on earth cannot be said to be a mean feat but to give thanks to the Almighty for bestowing long life to such individual. Even though it is popularly said that achievement is not counted or based on how long an individual lives in this mother-earth but how well the person prepared for eternity so as to earn him or her a place in the bosom of the Maker.
The life and times of Nze David Maduba Akpasuo, the Nzejiogu Aguowu of the present day Isu Local Government Area of Imo State which popularly was known as “Isunjaba” could be described as one that had met the Biblical age of 70 years and his Maker has to bless him with extra years. With this record one can rightly conclude that he was among those that were after God’s heart.
Until his demise, Nze Maduba was a renowned devout Christian of the Roman Catholic denomination, community leader, as well as a respected peace-maker. He was fondly called ‘Nzejiogu’ Aguowu meaning “an upright titled man” that says the final truth in the community.
This noble peace-maker is survived by many children, grand-children and great grand-children among who is a notable chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Nze Cosmas Maduba, a justice of peace (JP) and popularly called the “Odebube Isunjaba).
According to the burial announcement signed by Chief Cosmas Maduba on behalf of Nze Maduba Akpasuo Foundation, burial takes place today (Saturday) at the Maduba Akpasuo country home in Umuokwara, Isunjaba in Isunjaba LGA of Imo State after a funeral Church Service at St. Joseph Catholic Parish, Isunjaba by 10am.
Nze Maduba is also a believer in the custom and tradition of the people. He had 8 children: 3 women and 5 men. Odebube is the 7th child and the leading light of the family. An industrialist, a philanthropist, a political heavy weight and a key player in Nigerian politics.
