She Leads Africa Slay Festival: Taking Career Development to the Next Level
On Saturday January 21, over 1200 guests attended the first SLAY Festival by She leads Africa, celebrating technology, innovation, culture, arts, music and food. The SLAY Festival was Africa’s evergreen festival which was partly powered using panel installations.
The festival proved to be informative, educative and interactive as there were over 15 inspirational speakers who are professionals in their different fields.
There were five panel sessions. These included; Getting paid in the media industry with Kemi Adetiba (Renowned director and filmmaker) Mary Remy Njoku (Entrepreneur, actress and producer), Stephanie Busari (Head of CNN digital) and Zainab Balogun (Media personality), Building your brand like a boss with Toke Makinwa (Bestselling author and media personality), Arese Ugwu (Author and Personal finance expert) and Keturah King (Journalist and media personality), Being a man in the 21st Century with M.I (CEO chocolate city), Audu Maikori (Founder chocolate city) and Pastor Idris Bello Osagie (Pastor Life pointe church), From conversation to contract with Kabir Shagaya (CEO Zippy logistics), Bukky Karibi-Whyte (Founder Bobby Taylor) and Ehinomen Rose Umame (Business Development lead at Bella Naija) and Olamide Akintobi (Journalist and media personality), Winning Partnerships with Fela-Durotoye (CEO Gemstone group) and Tara Fela-Durotoye (Founder of House of Tara International), moderated by Bukky Olowode (Marketing strategist) and Women in Tech with Neku Atawodi (General Manager Meltwater entrepreneurial School of Technology).
The SLAY Festival was a fun way to celebrate Africa’s career driven women by equipping attendees with tools, resources, connections and expertise that will help to enhance their careers and achieve their goals.
