Osho Upbeat as Kano Pillars Storm Sagamu
The Sky Blue Stars welcome Kano Pillars to the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu this afternoon in one of the Match-day 11 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
Remo Stars had a wonderful performance over the weekend, picking up a vital point on the road after a 1-1 draw against fellow southwest side, Shooting Stars of Ibadan.
The hosts currently sit in the 20th spot on the NPFL log with eight points from nine games while the Sai Masu Gida boys on the other hand occupy the seventh position on the table with 13 points from eight league matches.
Gaining the massive points against Pillars will boost their confidence to expect plenty of success in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).
This meeting will be the first between both sides in any competition of any kind and a win for either side will be seen as a record.
Chinedu Udoji has been massive in Kano Pillars colour since joining from Enyimba FC, his efforts yielded profits after scoring his debut goal for Sai Masu Gida against Katsina United with Rabiu Alli’s free kick.
Victor Mbaoma and Oche Salefu have also been very impressive for Fatai Osho’s side after both players have scored six from eight goals scored in total for the team.
Meanwhile, the Technical Adviser of Remo Stars Football Club, Fatai Osho, has indicated that the draw against Shooting Stars of Ibadan will motivate his side going into the home match against Kano Pillars.
Osho told the team’s website yesterday that the game will help instill confidence into his wards.
“The draw at Ibadan is a good motivating factor, it helped our confidence and will make it known to our players that we can actually do it, we are playing Kano Pillars at the right time.”
“We need to start getting points now, if we can get a point on the road then it means we should be more comfortable but a lot of hard will be done because beating Pillars won’t be a child’s play.”
“We will create a level playing field where a player who is ready to play will be greatly encouraged and don’t be surprised seeing some new faces against the Sai Masu Gida boys on Wednesday.” Osho disclosed.
