Osinbajo is New NEMA Chairman, Onabule Chairs NTA Board

President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday named Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) as the new Chairman of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA). He also appointed Chief Duro Onabule, former spokesman for ex-Military President, General Ibrahim Babangida, as the new Chairman of the Board of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).
Other members of the NEMA Board as announced by the president are Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir David Lawal; Captain Talba Alkali, representing Ministry of Transport and Aviation; Ambassador Rabiu Dagari, Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Dr. Ngozi Azadoh, Ministry of Health and Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido, Ministry of Interior.
Also included in the board membership are: Ajisegiri Benson Akinloye, Ministry of Water Resources; Air Vice Marshal Emmanuel Anebi for Nigerian Armed Forces; and Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Salisu Fagge Abdullahi from the Nigerian Police Force.
On the board of NTA, the new Director-General is Mr. Mustapha Yunusa Maihaja while the new executive directors of the television station include: Dr. Steve Egbo, Administration and Training; Abdul Hamid Salihu Dembos, Marketing; Mohammed Labbo, News; Fatima M. Barda, Finance; Stephen Okoanachi, Engineering; and Wole Coker, Programmes.
In the same vein, Buhari appointed Aliyu Hayatu as the new Chairman of Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) while Buhari Auwalu and Yinka Amosun are Zonal Directors for Kaduna and Lagos respectively.
The President also constituted the management of some agencies under the Ministry of Information and Culture. In the Nigerian Film Corporation, Dr. Chika Maduekwe was appointed as the General Manager; Comrade Tar Ukoh as Artistic Director, National Theatre and National Troupe of Nigeria; Otunba Olusegun Runsewe, Director-General, National Council for Arts and Culture and Folorunsho Coker, Director-General, National Film and Video Censors Board.
