Kano Muslims Pray for Late Emir Bayero

Hundreds of millions of Muslims in Kano on Tuesday held prayer sessions to commiserate three years of the passing of the late Kano monarch, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero.
The sympathizers individually recited special Quranic citations seeking for the repose of the soul of the late emir who transited on June 6, 2014.
The ward of the late emir and Wambai Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero commenting on the demise of the former traditional ruler admitted that the immediate family members and close associates of the deceased missed his wise counseling.
According to him, the 51 years leadership rule of Bayero over the Kano traditional council had ushered in peace and prosperity.
Aminu pointing out that in the history of the emirate, under his leadership, Kano faired distinguishly in the area of commerce, religious growth and peaceful political atmosphere.
He disclosed that, the unity and love prevailing over the family of the late monarch is a handiwork of his qualities as a builder.
He also added that, wise counseling from close associates of the demise emir, prominent amongst whom are, Dan Masani Kano, Dr Yusuf Maitama Sule, Emir of Zaria, Alhaji Shehu Idris, business mogul Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantata continue to guide and contribute immensely to the well being of the Ado Bayero lineage.
A respected traditional title holder in the state, Dan Rimi Kano, Alhaji Sarki Waziri prayed Allah to grant the late emir eternal rest, describing the deceased as a traditional ruler whose tolerance tower above those of his peers.
Late Ado Bayero was born on, 25 July 1930, he died on 6 June 2014, in Kano and was interred in accordance to Islamic rites.
