Ramadan: Conoil Urges Caution on the Roads
As Muslim faithful celebrate the end of the 30-day fasting period, the nation’s foremost petroleum marketing company, Conoil Plc, has wished all Nigerians accident-free celebrations.
It enjoined motorists as well as passengers to exercise extreme caution on the roads as they travel far and near to join their loved ones in celebration. The company urged motorists to keep a rein on their speed, obey traffic rules, wear seat belts, read caution signs and ensure their vehicles are in good condition, electrically and mechanically, before embarking on their trips. The oil major also enjoined Nigerians to continue with the lessons of love and tolerance learnt during the fasting period to promote peace and unity in the country.
Amid Tight Security, Muslims Mark Eid-el-Fitr Prayers in Ilorin
The two rakat prayers observed by Muslims at Ilorin Eid praying ground, Ilorin, Kwara State capital to commemorate the end of Ramadan fast was held amidst deployment of security personnel to the venue of the praying ground. Though, it was a peaceful one but it was devoid of glamour that usually accompanied the celebration of the Eid prayer in the city.
