Mall For Africa Expands to 11 New MarketsÂ
Africa’s global e-commerce solutions, Mall For Africa, has spread its tentacles to 11 new markets having strengthened its foothold in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and Rwanda.
The new markets being explored presently include Angola, Chad, Guinea, Botswana, Tanzania, Uganda, Malawi, Egypt, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal and Sierra Leone.
According to the company which deals in connecting consumers in Africa to international online retailers, its app is presently available in the new markets for use.
Speaking on this development, Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Chris Folayan, stated that the platform was noted for its remarkable success in existing markets hence, the need to explore new economies for optimal performance.
“Current customers in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, and Rwanda love our platform which is why we are rolling out in 11 additional countries and will continue to expand our platform to meet the needs of customers worldwide.
The app offers billions of items from more than 250 top US and UK retailer stores that would otherwise be inaccessible to many African customers and manages every aspect of the order and return cycle,†Folayan said.
With over 1 billion potential customers, coupled with growing middle class customers, the e-commerce sector is set to hit $75 billion in Africa’s leading economies by 2025 according to eshopworld.
Mall for Africa is tapping into the huge reward of the sector, global sales are expected to reach $4.5 trillion by 2021, a 246.15% increase worldwide from 2014.
The store presently sells over 8.5 billion items across 20,000 categories from more than 150 stores.
