Construction Kaiser Limited has officially align her operations with PERI through a technical partnership agreement.
“This affiliation is indeed of great importance because of the ingenuity of the technical innovations that CKL will leverage on in her operations,†said officials of the companies, at the agreement signing ceremony in Lagos, recently.
PERI, founded in 1969, is the world’s largest manufacturer of formwork and scaffolding. They presently have more than 70 subsidiaries and over 120 logistics centers currently operational. The company employs over 8,100 employees worldwide and definitely has blazed the trail for formwork and scaffolding innovation in Nigeria.Â
Over 50% of fatalities on construction sites are as a result of weak scaffolding, wrong formwork placement and poor training in the use of formwork. The partnership between CKL and PERI seeks to bridge that gap by deploying cutting edge technology and skill in the use of PERI’s world renowned Formwork and continuous training. This also seeks to drastically reduce occurrences of building collapse during formwork failure in projects ensuring that quality standards are maintained. This partnership will enable CKL deploy PERI products optimally.
Starting as a small 5-man organisation carrying out minor renovation works, the company has grown to become a national force in the Nigerian construction industry. The Lagos regional office was established in 2003 and the Abuja regional office in 2008, having successfully executed various projects in the South-South and South-Eastern parts of the country prior to the expansion.
The organisation undertakes residential, commercial, and industrial engineering construction projects in different geopolitical zones of the country and currently have staff strength of over 200, about half of which are direct industry professionals.
Its country wide operations are supported by a construction equipment asset base. The company is managed by a team of seasoned professionals in each of its three regional business units (Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt) and headed by Regional Directors. The company retains quality delivery and clients’ satisfaction as its core values and has remained its key success factors over the years.
In response to the peculiarities of the typical emerging market which they operate, Construction Kaiser Limited has grown to position herself as a one-stop construction shop through vertical integration that birthed her sister companies; M&E Kaiser Limited (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Services Installation Works), Kaiser Fabrication Limited (Steel Fabrication & Erection) andNoah Michael LLC (Construction & Project Advisory Services). These companies are responsible for other key aspects of project delivery. They also pride themselves as the owner of the trademark “KaiserLiteâ€, a division responsible for execution of small to medium scale projects but with the Kaiser’s touch of quality. So CKL is for All!
PERI will also be providing free training, as Lagos State Employment Trust Fund (LSETF) collaborates with Construction Kaiser Limited to train over 500 artisans, in the use of Form Work at the Lagos State Employability Support Project. This would further empower Lagosians by creating employment for its youths and ultimately reducing crime and poverty. The public would also be rest assured that works are being executed in a safe manner, thereby eliminating incidences attributed to formwork and scaffolding.
