Buhari Departs for London

President Muhammadu Buhari Tuesday departed Abuja for London on a 4-day medical check up.

Photos of his departure released by the State House showed that Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari; Inspector General of Police Ibrahim Idris; and FCT Minister, Mohammed Bello, were among senior government officials that saw the President off at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

A statement released on Monday night by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, had announced that the President would be proceeding on a 4-day medical trip today.

President Buhari will return on Saturday, according to the statement.
