Vice President Yemi Osinbajo Monday met the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami, the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawal Daura, in the State House, Abuja.
The meeting, which held behind closed-doors, was preceded by an initial meeting of the vice president and the AGF with President Muhammadu Buhari.
After Osinbajo and Malami left the president’s office, they were joined by the IGP and DSS DG in the vice-president’s office.
There were speculations in the State House Monday that the meeting might not be unconnected with Sunday’s statement by the police linking Senate President Bukola Saraki with the suspects arrested in connection with the April 5 robbery incident in Offa. But there was no official confirmation of such assumption.
After the meeting, the trio of AGF, IGP, and DG of DSS did not grant any interview. Instead, the IGP referred journalists to the ADC of the vice-president for information on the meeting.
