Health, safety, preservation of the environment and staff wellbeing should be accorded priority at workplaces, the Group Managing Director, Eunisell, Mr Chika Ikenga has said.
Stating this during an in-house event to mark Safety Awareness Day in Lagos recently, the MD said safety and the environment should be taken as a priority in work places, adding that on the part of Eunisell, they take the wellbeing of their workers, customers and vendors very seriously.
“While working on projects, we are duty-bound and committed to implementing our Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policy as well as meeting the rigorous standards set by our customers.
“Any activity or work-related environmental issue that fails to meet best practices should be regarded as an ‘at-risk behaviour’. Lack of HSE knowledge and awareness can also amount to work place risk,” he stated.
He further said that: “We want our businesses and operations to be as risk-free as possible and our impact on the environment to be minimal.
“Our approach is proactive and this is why our HSE policy evolves and is adaptive to meet the unique needs of each project we do without compromise.”
He added that since its establishment in 1996, Eunisell has been providing bespoke solutions to firms in the industrial, downstream and upstream sectors, developing eco-friendly solutions to help companies achieve optimal performance and profitability.
