Five Suicide Bombers Die in Failed Attack on Maiduguri

Five suicide bombers yesterday lost their lives in an unsuccessful attempt to cause havoc in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.
The explosions, however, made many residents of the town to have sleepless night as the sound resonated all around the troubled town.
Though it was learnt that there was no other death from the multiple explosions other than the five suicide attackers who lost their lives, three residents of Kaleri, an outskirts of Maiduguri, which was attacked by the suicide bombers got injured.
A statement by the spokesman of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), North-east Zonal office, AbdulKadir Ibrahim, confirmed the incident.
The short statement read that: “Multiple explosions rocked outskirts of Maiduguri in the Kaleri area at 9:53p.m on Sunday.
“Casualty figure for yesterday’s bomb blast was five suicide bombers and three other persons were injured in the incident.”
