Sokoto Police Move against Political Thugs

The Sokoto State Police Command, has cautioned the youth of the state against political thuggery ahead of the primary elections in the state.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Command and Deputy Superintendent of Police, Cordelia Nwawe, gave the warning during a chat with journalists in Sokoto yesterday.
She said the warning became necessary following the resurgence of political thuggery in Sokoto metropolis.
She warned that the police would deal decisively with anyone found engaging in political thuggery in the state.
According to her, the command would embark on a 24 -hour patrol in all nooks and crannies of the state in order to curtail the ugly trend
She vowed to take action within the ambit of the law to protect the lives of the people.
“Sokoto Police Command is determined to take any action within the ambit of the law to protect lives and properties of the citizens.
“Therefore, we are determined to deal decisively with any individual trying to breach peace in the state,” she said.
