The Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed has pledged that he would leave no stone unturned to strengthen security of lives and property across the state, especially in Offa axis, so to curtail any further armed robbery in the state.
Ahmed stated this at the Government House in Ilorin, when he received a delegate from Omu-Aran led by the National President of Omu-Aran Development Association, Chief Bisi Adeyemi.
He explained that his government would put necessary logistics in place to beef up security in the state.
The governor further stressed that Kwara under his watch would be made conducive for investors by putting necessary logistics in place to address any threat to security of lives and property.
According to him, “under my watch, we are not leaving any stone unturned to ensure that security of lives and property guaranteed; nothing would be taken for granted. The Offa tragedy by the grace of God will not happen again anywhere in this state.
“We are also not unaware that the security of lives and property is the major requirement for investors to come to the state; so, we are not looking back,” he said.
The governor also spoke of his government’s resolve to accord necessary respect to traditional institutions in the state not only as a custodian of culture and traditions but as stabilizer of peace and understanding.
Adeyemi had earlier in his remarks told the governor that they were in the Government House to appreciate him for his support during the demise of the late Olomu.
He also appealed to the governor to improve the state government’s presence in the community by improving road network in the ancient town.
