Former vice president and presidential aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party

(PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has said that he will revive Nigeria and make it work again if elected president in 2019.

The former Nigeria’s vice president stated this on last weekend when addressing the Nasarawa State working committee and delegates of PDP in Lafia, Nasarawa State.

According to him, “insecurity, povertyand hunger were some of the factors militating against the needed progress of Nigeria and Nigerians, hence I will focus my attention to that effect to bring Nigeria out of the woods to enable it work again.”

The presidential hopeful also disagreed with those who said that the youths of Nigeria were lazy, and only needed free money.

He said: “From available records, Nigeria youths have excelled in sports, entitlement industry, among others and I wondered why somebodywould said that the Nigerian youths are lazy”

“If elected the President of this country, I will restructure Nigeriaby empowering the youths, eradicating hunger and poverty and above all

fighting insecurity.”

Nevertheless, Atiku, who is the Turakin Adamawa, also promised to develop all states of the country sharing boundary with the Federal

Capital Territory (FCT) as according to him “most workers from the FCT live in those neighbouring states, thereby over stretching facilities

of the affected states.

He therefore called on delegates from Nasarawa State to vote for him to emerge the standard bearer of the PDP in the forth coming general elections given his  experience, network and the capacity to defeat the current President.

Responding, the chairman of the Nasarawa State chapter of the PDP. Francis Orugu, commended Atiku for the visit.

He consequently promised that delegates from the state would vote for a credible aspirant that has taste of time to turn things around for the over all benefit of the Nigeria citizenry.
