Renewable Sources Points to Future of Energy in Nigeria, Say Experts

The search for sustainable energy sources to power homes and businesses in Nigeria is now the focus of mainstream institutions in the country.

The Energy Institute Nigeria, for instance, is set to brainstorm on how to achieve sustainable energy in the country, employing the expertise of experts at a session themed “Energy Dynamics, current issues and policy options.”

This inaugural Energy Sustainability Conference 2018, has a robust list of speakers who will set the benchmark for best practices, debate, trends and solutions for the future of energy in Nigeria. 

The conference, which will take place on October 11th, 2018 at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki Expressway, Lagos, will specifically focus on specialist roundtable discussions on oil and gas, power generation and renewable energy. These are designed to deliver a focused approach providing valuable market insight.

There will be panel discussions with keynote speakers and policy professionals to discuss  best practices, while debating the issues at hand; speed networking sessions for sponsoring companies and participants where guests and participants can network and discuss in a relaxed environment, said a statement by the organisers.

The conference will feature prolific experts who are leaders in government and public policy, industry leaders from the private sectorpolicy makers, regulators, energy consultants and analysts, who will discuss and analyse critical issues on creating an energy sustainable future for Nigeria by promoting the exchange of knowledge, best practices, innovative ideas and past experiences between important stakeholders from across the energy spectrum.

Speakers include: Mr. Osten Olorunsola, Chairman, Energy Institute Nigeria, Louis Kingham OBE FEI – CEO Energy Institute, Prof. Abubakar Sani Sambo – Vice Chairman, World Energy Council, Mr. Ademola Adeyemi-Bero, Managing Director/CEO First E&P, among others.

The conference will also provide exclusive round-table networking opportunities chaired by leading organisations with innovative projects and initiatives within the energy sector. It will also identify synergies and forge partnerships in off-grid renewable energy.
