StarTimes Thrills Subscribers with Live Europa League Actions
StarTimes subscribers were on Thursday treated to live matches of the 2018 Europa League as some European power house, AC Milan, Arsenal, Chelsea made appearances in match day 2.
Italian giants, AC Milan came from 0-1 down to score three goals in the last 10 minutes against a Yaya Toure inspired Olympiacos side to the delight of their fans at the San Siro Stadium.
Arsenal made it eight straight wins in all competitions as they defeat Azerbaijani champions, Qarabag FK 3-0, at the 69,000-seater Baku Olympic Stadium, which has been selected to host this season’s final but now provides the backdrop for Gunners’ second match in Group E.
Arsenal boss, Emery’s team selection for their opening match against FC Vorskla won their first Europa League match by 4-2.
However, Chelsea boss, Maurizio Sarri on the other hand chose to go with a relatively strong line-up against Vidi FC.
In a game the Blues dominated, Chelsea laboured to a meagre 1-0 win. After two very competitive match-ups against Liverpool, Sarri will likely dig a little deeper into his squad’s rotational possibilities.
It was not all hurray for the big clubs in the Europa League, as Sevilla, which recently walloped Spanish giants, Real Madrid 3-0, Bordeaux, Anderlecht and Besiktas were all stunned by their opponents.
According to StarTimes, football lovers will continue to enjoy the thrills and actions of the games on ST World Football (Channels 244 and 254), ST Sport Premium (channel 246) and on the Mobile App.
