Atiku Emerges PDP Presidential Candidate

Nseobong Okon-Ekong and Ernest Chinwo in Port Harcourt

Alhaji Abubakar Atiku has emerged the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after a keenly contested primary at the National Convention of the party held at the Adokiye Amiesiamaka Stadium, Igwuruta-Ali, Port Harcourt.

Though counting of ballot is still ongoing, he has secured over a thousand votes, far above the 690 votes recorded by his closest rival, Sokoto States Governor Aminu Tambuwal.
