Abdulrasaq Emerges Kwara APC Guber Candidate

Alhaji Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq, son of former President of the Nigerian Stock Exchange, Alhaji AGF Abdulrazaq, has won the Kwara State All Progressives Congress governorship ticket.

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the party in a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary, Yekini Nabena, on Monday declared Abdulrazaq winner of the governorship primary held on Saturday.

Abdulrasaq polled 29,098 votes to defeat other aspirants. His closest rival, Prof.Oba Abu scored 23,298 votes.

Alhaji Lukeman Mustapha recorded 14,233 while Alhaji Yammah Abdullahi scored 22,116 votes.

Votes recorded by other aspirants are as follow: Alhaji Hakeem Lawal – 18,758; Alhaji Mooshood Murtala – 9,511; Isaq Modibbo Kawu – 5,060; Alhaji Yakubu Gobar – 2,420; and Tajudeen Makama Audu – 3,127.
