Honour for Wizkid in Minnesota

Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, is definitely one of Nigeria’s musical export that is doing the nation proud musically.

Recently, the pop superstar fondly called Starboy, was recently honoured in Minnesota, United States.
A special day was marked out by Governor Mark Dayton of Minnesota to honour Wizkid and his contribution to music. The governor declared October 6 as Wizkid Day.

This honour is in recognition of some of the artiste’s achievement as a pioneer, some of which include; working with Drake on ‘One Dance’, selling out the O2 Arena London and also becoming the first African artiste to sell out Skyway Theatre, Minneapolis.

An official proclamation was made in that regards bearing the seal of the US state of Minnesota and signed by the governor.
