Elishama Tasks Buhari on Hauwa Leman Murder

As well-meaning Nigerians and the international community continue to mourn and condemn the killing of Hauwa Leman a health worker and midwife with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) by Boko Haram, foremost female politician, Dr. Elishama Ideh has asked on President Muhammadu Buhari to stop all these evil perpetrated by the terrorist group.
The presidential aspirant, who said that Nigerians again woke up to the rude shock of the dastardly vicious and wicked act of the Boko-Haram in carrying out their threat by killing health worker, tasked the federal government not to allow to befall others kidnapped by the terrorist group, including Leah Sharibu.
“I strongly call on the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government of President Mohammed Buhari to act fast to stop the ungodly activities of this dreaded terrorist group.”
She reminded that the primary aim of any government is for the welfare and security of the people they have been called to govern, adding that it is very obvious that “these two basic reasons for governance has irreparably broken down in our nation.”
Elishama Ideh said its now worse with the undeniable situation of almost 70% of the population grappling with endemic poverty.
“I strongly condemn this killings and urge our government to act fast by securing the release of Leah Sharibu and every other persons captured by the notorious terrorist organisation.
“I sincerely express my condolence to the family of Leman and the ICRC and I pray that all these evil atrocities will come to an end in Nigeria soon.
“The government must ensure that the Boko-Haram group must not be allowed to bring to pass their threats against Leah Sharibu and others in captivity.
All the instrumentality of government power must be deployed at any cost to secure the safe release of everyone that is being held captive.
Enough of all this wanton killings in our nation,” she emphasised.
