Incumbent Delta Senators Win Re-election Bids
•Elumelu clinches victory

All the three incumbent senators representing Delta State in the National Assembly have won their respective senatorial district election held last Saturday to return to the National Assembly.
They include Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, representing Delta North, who was re-elected on the platform of the PDP; Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the APC, who was elected again to represent Delta Central; and, Senator James Manager of the PDP representing Delta South in the Upper Chamber of the National Assembly.
Also a former member of the National Assembly, Hon. Ndudi Godwin Elumelu, won the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency to pave the way to his return to the House of Representatives under the canopy of the PDP.
Similarly, Minority Leader in the House of Representatives, Hon Leo Ogor of the PDP will again represent the Isoko Federal Constituency
In a related development, as INEC announced more results in Asaba yesterday, the presidential candidate of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar, won in more LGAs of Delta State.
The PDP scored the highest votes in 16 of the 17 LGAs so far announced by the INEC’s State Collation Officer for Delta State, Prof. Seth A. Jaja, as at about 7.30 p.m yesterday.
The APC’s candidate, President Muhammadu Buhari, won in one local government area, Ethiope East, which is the home area of Chief Great Ogboru, APC’s governorship candidate in Delta State.
Results for Ethiope East showed that the APC got a total of 13,854 votes to beat PDP with 8,294 and other parties.
Meanwhile, results for the two units in two separate wards in Warri North LGA have been canceled by INEC returning officer following the reported loss of voting materials meant while being conveyed by both as the materials allegedly ‘’fell into the water.’’
