Gunmen Abduct Kaduna APC Vice Chair, Daughter

The vice chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna state, Alhaji Shu’abu idris Lauje, and his daughter have been abducted by gunmen.

Sources said Lauje and his daughter were abducted about 1:30am on Thursday when the hoodlums invaded his residence at Kwanar Zango, along Zaria-Kaduna Expressway.

Muhammad Jalige, spokesman of the Kaduna state police command did not respond to telephone calls and a text message sent to him on the issue.

Kaduna is facing serious security challenges with frequent cases of abduction and killings, especially in rural communities.

In the past two days, no fewer than 25 people had been killed in communities in Kajuru Local government area of the state, following attacks by gunmen suspected to be herdsmen.
