Olapade Agoro, Former Presidential Candidate, is Dead

Former Presidential Candidate of the National Action Council, Olapade Agoro, is dead. He was aged 77.

The late politician, who was also spiritual head of Aladura Churches and Christ Merciful Church, died in the early hours of Sunday at 77 after a brief illness.

His daughter, Adeola Agoro, announced his death in a post on Facebook.

Born on October 9, 1943 at Ajibabi village of Ibadan to a Prince of Atapami Dynasty of Itapa Ijesha, the late Agoro attended California Western University, University of Ibadan and California Coast University (CCU). He held a Doctorate Degree in Interdisciplinary Engineering.

In 1982, Agoro was installed the Owa ‘Tapa of Itapa-Ijesha.
