Funmi Olotu Thrills at Birthday Party

The Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, top government officials, mentors and friends recently celebrated Ms. Funmi Olotu, Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on State Lotteries, on her 38th birthday and 19th year in politics. It was a classy and colorful birthday dinner at The Oriental Hotel, Lagos.
Beauty, Brain and Brawn are what can best be used to describe Olotu popularly known as Olufunmilagos. She was showered with encomiums and endearment as she hits 38 and shared her 19 years journey in politics which she started at age 19.
The visionary and intelligent Olotu hosted everyone to a buoyant evening, with Remi Olaleye, a luxury event planner, leading her team from Rexkraft events to satisfy the guests. The event buzzed from the beginning to the end, with good music from The Thorpeedoh Band.
The Toast session was chaired by Mrs. Helen Prest-Ajayi. Former Lagos State Commissioner of Finance and Chairman, Chapel Hill Denham, Mr. Wale Edun, Celebrity Actress and the celebrant’s best friend, Mrs. Funke Akindele-Bello, and other personalities also spoke glowingly about her.
Celebrity Journalist, Latasha Ngwube (Latashalagos) read the celebrant’s citation before the celebrant spoke about her 19 years journey in politics, starting at the young age of 19. She described the journey as that of pure determination, focus, resilience, perseverance, hard work, smart work, never giving up, as well as the ultimate sacrifice of delayed gratification. She charged all youth to be involved in government directly or indirectly to effect the change we all desire.
