A competent source close to the school told THISDAY that the deceased cleric who died on June 5, 2021 made a call to the Headmaster of the school to commiserate with him and other parents on the abduction of their children.

According to the source T B Joshua told the Headmaster that God directed him to secure the release of the pupils and that he has decided to hearken to the voice of God.
He was reported to have said that he did not know if his gesture will be the last humanitarian service he will offer on earth.

Joshua according to the source requested for the details of the school’s bank account promising that “he will send something substantial to the account very soon”

He reportedly called the Headmaster more than 27 times before the HM picked the call because of belief that the calls could have been from the bandits.
It was learnt that “Four hours later we were so shocked to hear that T B Joshua has died ,” the source said.

“We didn’t believe the news how can somebody we spoke with just four hours ago die like that?” The source said.
“Yes it is true that he called me, he told me that he wanted to assist to secure the release of the girls, that God has told him to do so,” the Headmaster of the school Alhaji Alhassan Abubakar confirmed to THISDAY.

According to Abubakar the deceased said his gesture was “a purely humanitarian service which does not have any religion attached to it.”

The Headmaster said he and others were shocked when four hours after our telephone conversation we heard he was dead, at first we didn’t believe later we realise it is true.” Alhassan who said he had all the discussion with the late SCOAN leader recorded in his cell phone said he had only called the family to commiserate with them, “ we cannot do more than that as human being.”

The Headmaster pleaded with public spirited individuals to come to the assistance of the kids who are suffering adding the their parents have resigned to faith.
It will be recalled that the bandits had collected about N20m Ransom from the parents but refused to release the girls.
