Foundation Uplifts Indigent in Warri

A non-governmental organisation, Vincent Tobi Foundation (VTF), recently uplifted a family with financial challenges in Warri, Delta State, as part of its commitment to support Nigerians living below the poverty line.

The Foundation donated a brand new vehicle to the Ejegi family after the wife, Favour, contacted them to help her husband, Ama, get back in business.

Ejegi, who lives with his family in the Jakpa Effuru area of Warri, had been out of a job for a while and the financial burden to cater for his family had become unbearable, hence, the wife’s decision to contact the NGO.

“The wife reached out to the Foundation via the Facebook page and asked for help through one of its grant programmes, which includes support for small business, educational fund, and farmer’s fund,” explained the coordinator of the NGO, Vincent Tobi.

Favour told the Foundation that her husband needs his own commercial tricycle (Keke Napep) “to be self-employed and be free from the outrageous debt he has incurred from daily delivery”.

Tobi said that the Foundation thought of a sustainable business and decided to give him a car to start a private taxi and pick-ups.

Expressing joy at the presentation of the car on Thursday, July 29, Ejegi said he can’t thank the Foundation enough for the decision to believe his story and come to his aid in his trying times. His wife, who contacted VTF, was full of praise and gratitude to the Foundation and team.

Founded in January 2021 with competent team members that include Chidiebere Nwosu, Joy John, Aisha Aminu and Ojo Owoeye, VTF has continued to support millions of Nigerians to get an education, support their businesses, and support small-scale farming.

The support, which is in three parts, includes N100,000 support for small businesses, educational fund and farmer’s fund.
