Buhari Mourns Hadiza Shagari

President Muhammadu Buhari has condoled with family of the late former President of Nigeria, Alhaji Shehu Shagari, over the death of his widow, Hajiya Hadiza Shagari, at 80.

The President, in a release issued on Thursday by his Media Adviser, Femi Adesina, described the departed as a pillar of strength and support, holding the fort in the family while her husband busied himself with service to the nation.

President Buhari also commiserated with government and the people of Sokoto State, urging the family to be consoled by the good deeds of Hajiya Hadiza.

The President prayed unto Allah to forgive the sins of the deceased and reward her with Paradise.
