My Love for Music Made Me Set Up a Record Label, Says Toye

Music Executive and CEO, Chippy Record Label, Ezekiel Okedara popularly known as Toye has narrated the reason he set up his record label. According to Toye, the record label was founded on August 1, 2020.

The label Boss who hails from Ogun State spoke in an interview with newsmen in Lagos while narrating his journey into the entertainment space said, “As an instrumentalist or someone that likes playing musical instruments, I found love in music and entertainment and believe so much in talents”.
Continuing he said, “the journey has not been easy, there have been ups and downs but we learn every day and I thank God so far, it has been amazing seeing the label and artist growing”, he said.

Presently, Dagizah is the only artist signed to Chippy records as they hope to sign more talented music acts in time to come.
However, on his decision to support upcoming music acts in the industry, he said “I so much believe in talents and I am a lover of good music. I’ve always admired young, brave and talented artist right from time”.

Toye who is a music enthusiast, businessman, entrepreneur, and now music executive speaking on how he has managed to handle all his businesses said, “Well I have been in business before the record label, and the business is what foot’s the bill of the label at least for now and however there are prospects in the music business”, said Toye.

On what his label considers before signing an upcoming act, he listed humbleness, loyalty and good character as a part of the criteria they look out for.
