Obasanjo Visits Yola, Describes Ahmed Joda as a Rare Gem

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has described late elder statesman Ahmed Joda as a rare gem.

Obasanjo made the assertion when he paid a condolence visit on Monday to the family of late Joda in in Yola, Adamawa state Capital.

Chief Obasanjo while condoling with the family and the state government said that late Ahmed Joda was a Nigerian whose patriotism and dedication to service would be missed.

Obasanjo who flew into the Yola International Airport in Jimeta Monday evening, was driven immediately to Yola Town, accompanied by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.

After the condolence visit to the bereaved family, Obasanjo proceeded to the Palace of the Lamido Adamawa, located in the same Yola Town neighbourhood, where he consoled with the monarch, Muhammadu Musdafa

Joda died on Friday at 91.
