Few horse races take all the attention due to their excitement, heritage, and top-class participants, and the Breeders’ Cup is one of them.

The race of champions – Breeders’ Cup is a two-day festival where some of the top horses and jockeys from all over the world are racing to the finish line. This is also one of the most exciting events for horse racing enthusiasts that want to get closer to the action, and fortunately, organizations plan to reach 100% capacity on the Del Mar Race track after they’ve organized the race at an empty race track last year

The Breeders’ Cup championship dates back to 1984 starting as a classic one-day event. In 2007, the event was reorganized to a two-day event which increased the thrills even more.

Breeders’ Cup Schedule

The Breeders’ Cup is combined with 14 top-class races, that you can watch and wager on at this year’s race. The championship is scheduled to start on Friday and Saturday (Nov. 5-6, 2021) followed by NBCSN and NBC TV broadcasters.

You can also watch it on TVG and fubo TV.

The event is located on Del Mar Racetrack and has a prize pool of $31 million with 14 Grade 1 races ranging from $1 million to $6 million for the winner.

Del Mar Race Track

This year’s Breeders’ Cup is coming to Southern California on the incredible Del Mar race track situated astride the Pacific Ocean. This racecourse was opened in 1937 and quickly became the international home for horse racing after America’s champion, the famous Seabiscuit faced South American champion Ligaroti “The Biscuit”.

Del Mar has a high reputation for creating champions, as the recent winners include California Chrome, and Triple Crown winner American Pharoah.

Despite hosting the Breeders’ Cup, Del Mar is also known for organizing other exciting events like Del Mar Oaks, the Clement El Hirsch Stakes, and the Hollywood Turf Cup. You can  here bet on Del Mar races with TwinSpires here.
