Kelvin Okwuosa Goes Home

Late Mr Kelvin Uche Okwuosa aka Biggest Fellow will be laid to rest today, Friday, August 27th at Okwuosa’s compound, Nkwo Okija, Anambra State.

An outing service will hold in his honour at Grace of God Church Nkwo Okija on Sunday August 29th.

Late Okwuosa was born in 1954 at Oguta Imo State into the noble family of Late Chief Francis Nnoyiba Okwuosa and Princess Adaeze Georgina Okwuosa of Umuzu Village Okija in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State. He was the first son from his mother’s and was greatly loved by all.

He attended Oguta Town School and later moved to Sacred Heart Primary School where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate. Thereafter he proceeded to St Michael’s Community Secondary School Osu Obodo in 1966 and was there when the Nigerian /Biafra War broke out and everyone fled from Oguta. When the war ended in 1970 he returned home and was enrolled back to School at St Anthony’s Community Secondary School Azia and later to the Prestigious DMGS Onitsha where he finished his WAEC in 1975. After graduation he got employment with NIPOST and was posted to Oguta and later Owerri. He later left NIPOST in 1979 and to join his Late Uncle Dr Emma Okwuosa in the USA.

Okwuosa had an extraordinary personality with his height of nearly 7 feet, which made him to stand out in every gathering and this earned him different nick names from his circle of friends at different times like: Big Fellow, Big Guy, Iron Gate, Odakwasilienyi, Ono n’ enyi Nwa all trying to describe his person. He was a great man with a golden heart and devoted his entire life trying to make Nigeria Great.

While in the USA young Okwuosa could see that American greatness was in its educational system that focused on total human development and so he went along to understudy the systems with Texas A&M University and other relevant Institutions and was set to nurture and establish the 4H Club Foundation in Nigeria.
