Giving to The Needy, Part of My Upbringing, Says Susan Chanel CEO, Esisi

Award-winning beauty therapist and founder of Susan Chanel brand, Susan Esisi, has declared that philanthropy is part of her upbringing and business philosophy.

Back in 2016, when Susan Chanel Beauty was almost three years in business, the ultimate objective foe her was to see the brand in malls and major stores.

“My target plan is for Susan Chanel to be a household name and on shelves and counters of stores and pharmacies,” she said back then during an interview.

Today, that objective has been achieved spectacularly with Susan Chanel now in Nigeria, Ghana, the UK and US, all over the world. Even while basking in the limelight of Susan Chanel’s success, Esisi has opened another vista as she turned her attention to the noble pursuit of philanthropy. And lately, she was in the news for her benevolent activities that centered on helping the less privileged (orphans, widows and beggars) with food and cash.

Explaining the motivation for her charity, the famous skin therapist and beautician said: “I was born in Lagos, and that is where I had all my education, from primary to the university, before I travelled out for my beauty therapy course. Lagos is the place to see the dynamics of humanity, and I saw a lot of people suffering, so I had made up my mind that If I were to become a woman of means, I will ensure I make life easy for the underprivileged.”

Continuing, she said: “I have once said it during an interview what philanthropy means to me. It is simply the love of humanity, exemplified by the private initiative for the public good. In my own way, I practice it by giving alms to the needy anywhere I come across them, whether by giving alms to beggars around my areas or the monthly visit to the orphanage home in Ojodu Berger.”

She further added: “Aside from these, I cook no less than two bags of rice every month to feed hungry people. So it is habitual for me to give to the less privileged. That was how I and my siblings were brought up.”

The cosmetology, whose Susan Chanel beauty and skincare line is the rave of the moment, urged members of the public to endeavor to help their less privileged neighbors, saying “there are so many philanthropic initiatives we can all do, so there is no excuse for anyone for not helping someone else.”
