Kidnappers Abduct Mother, Two Daughters in FCT

A mother and her two daughters were kidnapped in the early hours of yesterday in Pegi, Kuje Local Government Area of the Federal Capital Territory.

The incident was confirmed by the Chairman of Pegi Community Development Association, (PECDA), Mr Taiwo Aderibigbe.

Aderibigbe said the incident occurred in Pegi Resettlement Zone A of the area.

He said the kidnappers succeeded broke the burglary door to the apartment where the victims were living before they were abducted.

The victims are 45-year-old Mrs. Oladapo Bukola, and her daughters, Miss Oladapo Glory, 17 and Miss Oladapo Moyo 14.

Ironically, the husband, Pastor Gabriel Oladapo, was out of Abuja when the incident occurred. He said that the kidnappers had not contacted him.

Aderibigbe decried the rampant incidents of kidnapping in Pegi while urging security agencies to come to the rescue of the residents, who are living in perpetual fear of being abducted.

“At about 11:15 pm, I got a call from one the zonal leaders of the community, that assailants had invaded the premises of Pastor Gabriel Oladapo and abducted his wife and two children.

“It is quite worrisome that Pegi, Kuje, is being targeted by kidnappers and security agencies are not doing much,” Aderibigbe said.

He described as worrisome the spate of kidnappings in the community that is yet to be crushed by the tactical and professional security personnel while calling on all and sundry to come to the aid of the community.
