Ghana-Nigeria Business Council Appoints Executive Committee

The Ghana-Nigeria Business Council (GNBC) has constituted an executive committee as part of its strategy to promote investments, trade and enterprises in Ghana and Nigeria.
The members of the newly established executive committee included the Founder and CEO of Ghanaian Londoners, Ms. Adwoa Agyemang; Partner, Business Development Manager at Unimas Microfinance Ghana Limited, Mr. Efosa Igiehon and the Managing Attorney of Nartey Law Firm, Mr. William D. Nartey who is also a dual qualified attorney licenced to practice law in the State of Georgia, United States of America and in the Republic of Ghana.
Other members of the executive council are the Managing Director of MediaReachOMD Ghana, Mr. Stephen Onaivi; the Award-winning Presenter and Host of African Women’s Voices show on e.TV Ghana, Mrs. Eunice Tornyi, and the Executive Secretary of the GNBC, Ms. Nadia Takyiwaa-Mensah,
The Chairman of the GNBC, Mr. Reginald Laryea, said: “For us, this is a key milestone for our council (GNBC) as we have made many strides since we re-launched our membership drive in November 2020. It is imperative for us to ensure we have the best people on board to realise the vision of the Ghana Nigeria Business Council and ensure that we are putting our best foot forward at every given opportunity.”
Laryea added that he was personally excited that the council’s executive committee had been constituted with people with myriad of backgrounds and competencies.
“I am confident that in 2022 we will see our council grow and become even more relevant in the space of trade and investment between Ghana and Nigeria,” he said.
He also said the GNBC has witnessed a positive growth in its corporate membership since November 2020, which included companies such as LeasAfric, Sunu Assurance, Alisa Hotel, Camelot Printing among the brands that have signed up.
Also, individual membership, according to Laryea, consisting of entrepreneurs and investors from both Ghana and Nigeria were also on the increase.
He said the council has successfully executed a number of online and off-line events with their strategic partners like the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre, the Ghana Export Promotion Authority, the Ghana Free Zones Authority, the Ghana Revenue Authority and the Nigerian High Commission.
