Breaking: High-rise Building Collapses in Ikoyi, Lagos

A high-rise building, located at 20, Gerrard Road, Ikoyi, Lagos has collapsed.

The building was said to have collapsed at about 3pm on Monday.

The number of casualties is unknown but several people are believed to be trapped in the rubble.

While search and rescue operation has not commenced at the time of filing this report, a crowd gathered at the site of the incident.

A fire service truck is already at the scene while other emergency responders are said to be on their way.

The cause of the collapse is still unknown.
