Duno Seeks to Transform Hip Hop in Nigeria Towards National Development

After a breathtaking performance in the city of Benin at the Edo Youth Mega Concert alongside Teni, Waje, Arya Star, Johnny Drille, Cyrus da virus, and a host of other artistes, Duno seeks to take things a lot further following the release of his new album titled “Love Conference”.

He intends to use his music as a veritable tool for national transformation. According to him, hip hop possesses the raw ability to aggregate youths and possibly redirect their attention towards national development ideals like volunteering, crowdsourcing and national culture transformation.

Speaking on the future of rap music the rapper said; “The United States of America is the mecca of hiphop in the world but has been largely criticized for producing sociocultural deficient lyricists who champion crime, gangsterism, female degradation and murder but I believe that Edo State and the South South will be the next big thing in the development and global exposure of positive hip-hop.”

Duno who clinched the South South Music Awards for Best Rap Artiste is set to release the official video for his hit song on the album titled ‘IYE’ on Hiptv platforms nationwide.

The talented rapper has two Masters degrees in Financial Accounting. With this combination of intellectual prowess alongside lyrical dexterity he looks to surely cement his position as a hip-hop general and role model to inspire the next generation of young Nigerians.
